I get chills when thinking about connection. How a single moment with another person can change the course of your day, your week, or maybe even your life. The magical thing about connection is that it could be instant or sudden. Something we don’t expect but just happens, out of nowhere.

Or it could be a long time coming, bound to happen. Sometimes we just know when we are meant to connect with people, that is kind of a cool feeling too.

Connection can create a plethora of emotions, from being overwhelmed to feeling butterflies to appreciating ourselves for being vulnerable. Only growth happens when connections are made, so I don’t shy away from it, but rather embrace it with open arms and an open heart.

My favorite kind of connections are the ones where you instantly click and the conversation is so easy, it is like you have known one another for years. I bet you can think of someone right now who gave you a good “gut feeling.” Or what about those connections that you have to work for, have to fight for?

Can you all think of someone in that category?

No matter the way in which you connected, those moments are always unforgettable. Think about the first day you and your best friend met. Or the coworker you first spoke to that just “got you.” I imagine you are able to think about those days and remember every detail, the seconds before and the hours after.

This is “connection” in a nutshell. Well, at least the way I see it. What does connection mean to you? How would you describe it?

Connection is not only the foundation of who I am as a person, but also the foundation of Pillow Talk & Co., and as the Co-Founder of this business, it is important to me that the two go hand-in-hand. If I didn’t believe in the power of connection, then this small but mighty business would have never come to fruition. Christian and I have leaned on this idea of connection since the moment we met and it will forever be a value we hold onto for the rest of our lives, not only because of what we have created with Pillow Talk & Co., but because of who we are as human beings and as a couple. It is the foundation of our relationship.

Our hope is that this connection we have with one another comes through in our pillows, for all of you. And we hope it creates a ripple effect. One connection after another, after another, after another. Allow yourself to be connected to, it may take time, it may not be easy, but it will definitely be magical.
